This is an indieproject. Tokens, server, domain and cloud cost something. 🤷
I offer a free trial though for now.You can top it up with packages for the price of a coffee (4.50 CHF - about 5$).
You pay only per usage.If you want to support the project you can do a one time payment and get 1000CP automatically refilled monthly for the next 5 years.

FAQ

What can the tool do?

The tool can check almost everything that is written. It has a multi agent system to understand context and to understand meta layers to statements. For example: Yes it is true I said the earth is but a banana as reference scale for the universe. The statement itself, however, is factually wrong.I can use this with text (my main use case) or with audio. I then see the verdict, an explanation and the sources.

Is satori reliable?

For all use cases we have used it so far, it was incredibly accurate. I programmed a system where it prioritises & weighs primary sources (Gov, academia etc) higher than secondary (editable stuff like wikipedia or a company blog).But with everything: You need to use your own faculty and be critical, the line between misleading and false is often blurry.A professional fact checker would not only check a statement itself but also question the sources - who made them, are they primary or secondary and so on. Look at this work by factcheck.org for instance link In short, they checked whether the records of a nurse that served in war were deleted or altered.
Satori is not built for this.

How can I listen to in-browser audio?

I added deepgram nova, which is an transcription ai that can also handle virtual audio cables.
Install a VAC and then select the virtual audio cable as microfone input. For instance, the one from the vb-site works for me (mac & win). Free and easy to install.
Select the VAC afterwards in the settings, activate the live pro feature and voila.

What is the Live Pro Feature?

The Live pro feature sends the audio to deepram to transcribe. Especially if people talk over each other it is strong enough to handle that. Or other languages. (coming soon, have to redo some stuff)
The local speech to text cannot keep up once you speak fast enough, try it. The downside with deepgram is, that each minute burns through tokens like crazy. If you let this run for 30 minutes with the smart agent on, this will cost me almost 3.- CHF in tokens for deepgram alone, which is insane. It is the best value for price tool I could find, google is even more expensive. I propose you only use it when you need it.

Is this really a problem?

Yes, sadly.
AI generated content is not bad per se. Using ai to flood the internet with misinformation is bad. Misleading people is bad.Now, the few fact checkers I found are heavy duty tools like full fact ai, which are really pricey. I don't need that. I want a lightweight tool that does not cost the world.I built this for myself to copy paste news and posts I read along the day into satori and get some context real quick.
(That is why I built it slim, when you make the window smaller, with new claims on top. 👍)
